Stockbroking firms transact on behalf of their clients that's their business. Comsec and Etrade no different just done online so I dont know why anyone is bagging B&Y for selling a few million recently, as it is their clients that ring up and say i need to sell such and such a stock for what ever their reasons. B&Y from what I'm told have approx 300m shares on behalf of their clients.
So selling or buying a few million here and there is nothing and not indicative of any pump and dump as some mischievous scaremongers say.
Some clients of B&Y are traders (albeit short/med term) while some and suspect most are long term OBJ holders. 300m is allot of shares for one brokers client base so clearly B&Y are strong suporters of this company hence the research etc....
