I am a terrible typer and make spelling mistakes all the time ....i dont care to much for that as people can work out the meat of what i'm saying without needing a grammar lesson.
Yes Glyn and Jeff have done well to get things to where we are today but professional management at the commercialisation stage is needed I feel.
I have had many years working and advising public companies and first hand knowledge of what worked and what failed even if they had great products and all ducks lined up.
Usually people stuff up great products ....so the right management for the time is imperative.
With BG it will require a seasoned commercialisation management team.
The bios the the people you have mentioned dont have that sort of global skill set. I spoke to management 2 weeks ago and they agree that a new director is needed with FMCG experience and that is pleasing they realise this.
I have been invested in OBJ since 2009 and have a large and profitable position and definitely staying long.
Also I have an MBA but much more experience than that indicates.
BG is going to really test this team and the mistake will be to get all absorbed in the P&G time frames. OBJ has innovated a new product segment and they need a distributor. If I was them and I have suggested this to them they need a seasoned FMCG global expert to assist this process and take control and not let the PG's and RB's etc control the timing...it is OBJ's product this time not theirs.
