I don't think the US markets will wait for end of reporting to drop. The US indices started the current rise before the first reports were released, major investors will probably also start taking some profits before end of reporting season.
Might be more interested to look at when the major index fund managers rebalance their portfolio, that's when the high valuation companies get sold as they've grown bigger than what the fund managers might want to hold in their portfolio.
