Volume in the Asian session is still abysmal.

I've decided to not trade in the session at all anymore.

Trying to trade for couple hours from Euro open 7pm

Then trading US from IB close (1hr into market)

A move on ES that will literally take seconds to play out in US session could take half an hour in Asian session so it's not worth it.

Although last night was a bit of a hiccup.
Potentially one too many whiskeys before bed; it is holiday season after all...

FWIW I think MMs/brokers would love the Asian session as volume is so thin it takes very little heavy lifting to take any market where they want.
