Toll's strategy moving forward which it has not made secret of is Asia. Linfox is already big there. And they are good at relationship building. They have all the advantages of a private enterprise and the only scrutiny that is applied is by Lindsay himself. But they can only offer warehousing and distribution. This is where Toll can offer solutions by all three modes of road, rail, sea and including air folks. When customers want to do buisness here, they want one operator and a door to door service. Toll has the assets. Toll is the solutions provider.
I dont think ships or containers are in Tolls strategy. They want to use the principle of effective bolt on acquisitions to further grow as they did back when they acquired Peko (now Toll), be it here in the already fragmented market, going at it alone globally(first stop Asia) or through JV partners in the Asian region.
