The share has big boys on its side who care only about making money. In this this case it's easier to burn the shorts with a Gap up today. But at least now they will think twice about shorting in the future. The bulls have won today but the bears will be back.
The kicker for me is that this business model delivers whether there is a retail boom or recession.
