When you become aware of how much we are lied to now by governments today, why do you imagine it was any different 80 years ago? Nazis were not the only evil (imo there was greater evil elsewhere) but Nazis seem to be the only evil we can discuss without controversy.
One group controls the media and the direction of the discussion, the governments just do their bidding. Same as the 1930s, and, on our current course, I am now sure it will not end any better this time for any of us.
