LONDON – Next year marks the 800th anniversary of the Synod of Oxford, which issued a set of antisemitic decrees that forced Jews to wear badges of shame, limited them to certain occupations, prohibited new synagogues from being built, and saw the invention of the bloodlibel, which led to killings and massacres.
