compared to 25 years ago, he would have been married, with his own family, in his own house

not so long ago, a 29 year old, would be considered very close to middle age......
what caused this change in attitude to the adult men...?

In Victoria, nearly a quarter of males aged 25-29 are living with their parents, compared to 18 per cent in 1986.
A quarter of a century ago a third of this age group were actually dads in a family unit, but the figure had fallen to 13 per cent by last year's census.
