    Sorry - false analogies.

    Those two products had to generate publicity and consumer awareness, the NBN doesn't.

    A better analogy imo is an election result - after 10% of the vote is in you can usually predict the result. If 2500 people had to make a conscious decision to have it conected to their house and only 7 actually signed on - that's a disaster.

    They should be clamoring to get access to something that's supposedly been holding everybody back by not being available - high speed connection. Reality is - they don't want to pay for it, it's not a priority, they are happy with whatever they have and there is minimal demand.

    A pending disaster on a mammoth scale.
