Correct me if i'm wrong. The mining license application was 2500 pages and it was submitted on 2nd February. I know the consultation over the application has been happening progressively for a long time and most parties will be very familiar with the application, but some poor public servant and their assistants still have to read and check every page. Allowing for any questions and clarifications by the Department back to the applicant it is going to take a long time to make sure all the i's are dotted and the t's are crossed. Then it is passed onto the minister for approval. Assuming the election is finalised quickly and it is not a hung parliament, by the time the new minister is sworn in and settled into their new role or continuation of an existing role, the approval won't occur for many weeks after the election. Am I close on the time frame?
