VMob's smart use of live data and connected devices takes top honours on the
world stage at I-COM 2015.

Mobile personalisation platform VMob has been awarded with top honours at the
I-COM big data conference in San Sebastian, Spain. A finalist in the mobile
categories of the Data Venture Challenge and Data Creativity awards, VMob
took out both, along with the overall Data Venture Challenge Award.
With the highly regarded awards seeing a steady increase in popularity,
finalists this year were chosen by a panel of judges from a pool of hundreds
of entries. The finalists for both awards comprised 29 companies from 14
different countries and ranged from global brands including Unilever, to
startups including KlickPush (USA), to worldwide media agencies including
Media Com and OMD.
In winning at the I-COM awards, VMob has shown that smart marketing is not
just about collecting large data sets; the crucial advantage is in collecting
relevant, real-time data and then using that data to create a uniquely
personalized experience for each customer. Ultimately, the judges recognised
the dramatic business impact that implementations of the VMob platform had
made to customers, showing outstanding return from their data.
VMob has created a solution that not only leverages a range of data points
from a shoppers mobile device, it also pulls in data from a range of external
sources and connected devices such as weather services, beacons and in-store
computer systems. Using Microsoft Azure cloud technology, the VMob platform
is able to analyse this data in real-time to personalize content on the fly
for millions of mobile users.

The I-COM Global Summit is the world's leading Data & Measurement Strategy
event, where the Data Elite gather from around the world to learn, network /
trade and lead. The conference is in its sixth year, with the Data Creativity
and Venture Challenge awards having run for the last three years.
The Data Venture Challenge category showcases top startups from around the
world that leverage value from Marketing Data & Measurement as a major
selling point of their product(s) or services.
The Data Creativity Challenge acknowledges the most creative people &
companies in achieving business value and ideally, competitive advantage for
their clients by leveraging value from data.
During the day, finalists presented their entries in six minute speaking
slots to a board and jury made up of around fifty industry leaders, data
champions and researchers from around the world. The presentations were
considered along with a detailed written submission to select the winners.
Following the award ceremony in Spain, Christopher Dawson, VMob's Strategy
Director said "It really is such an honour to have walked away with these
three awards here tonight, especially the overall win in the Venture
Challenge. The competition here really is outstanding - we sat through
everyone's presentations today and I'd have to say I was nervous when
listening to some of the amazing work other companies have been doing."
