GENERAL: MAD: Australian Scheme Secures Accreditation for new LED Ecobulb
Media Release 18 June 2015
Australian Scheme Secures Accreditation for new LED Ecobulb and sells its
$30,000 of stock
Energy Mad has secured 20,000 hour lifetime Victorian State Government Energy
Efficiency Target (VEET) Scheme accreditation for its new dimmable 12V LED
Ecobulb.
Energy Mad Managing Director Chris Mardon said that Energy Mad's Victorian
customers had shown strong interest in this 12V LED Ecobulb which replaces
12V halogen light bulb and had been waiting for its VEET Scheme
accreditation.
"Within a few hours of notifying them of accreditation, we sold $30,000 of
existing stock to VEET Scheme customers, and have strong demand for the next
production orders," he said.
"Because there are few dimmable accredited 12V LEDs in the VEET scheme, nine
of our Victorian customers nominated the 12V LED Ecobulb during the
accreditation process which assisted us considerably", he said.
This new dimmable 12V LED Ecobulb was extensively tested in Energy Mad's
Christchurch laboratory and then independently tested in order to pass the
strict VEET Scheme performance requirements for accreditation.
