Chris Mardon, Energy Mad's Managing Director, featured on Radio New Zealand
Midday Report
Energy Mad Managing Director, Chris Mardon, was featured in Radio New
Zealand's midday report yesterday speaking about Energy Mad's performance and
the likelihood of Energy Mad achieving profitability in FY2016.
As announced by the Company yesterday, its unaudited operating loss (before
depreciation and amortization of $62K and foreign exchange gain of $17K) was
$0.2 million for the first quarter of FY2016, based on revenues of $1.1
million for that quarter. If this is extrapolated to a full year basis, then
this would result in an operating loss for FY2016 of $0.8 million (compared
to the operating loss for FY2015 of $2.9 million).
In order to achieve the previously announced EBITDA breakeven figure of $6.4
million, Energy Mad would need to increase its quarterly revenues to $1.8
million per quarter for the remaining three quarters of FY2016, Dr Mardon
explained.
"To become profitable, Energy Mad will only need to deliver a small increase
on the revenues it was earning prior to the re-organisation" he said.
Energy Mad CEO Paul Ravlich said that Energy Mad is focused on achieving this
through growing its Direct to Consumer and Australian Energy Efficiency
Scheme LED sales.
