If the Fed pivots now (whether that means pausing or cutting rates) the market will rip 25% in 2 months. Then the wealth affect comes into play again. People see their portfolios rising and they feel richer again. What do people do when they feel richer? They spend more! Right in time for xmas. The Fed cannot afford that to happen. They cannot come out and say it, but they need to have unemployment rise and they need to push us into a recession.

The cause (sustained high inflation) is worse than the cure (recession)

I really dont know how much clearer i can make it...

Makes no sense - Fed as usual is completely insane.
