Most definitely.
Unfortunately, the longer this conflict drags on, the less popular it becomes for all parties, and idealisms may make way somewhat, for something far easier for everyone to swallow.
If it does evolve into a protracted political standoff, then both economically and politically, it becomes more difficult to back away from, with likely serious repercussions, for us all.
There would be the thought that at that point , that we are all in so much strife, a 1000 point drops would seem meaningless.
Let's hope someone out there, either the Chinese or India, can become the conduit for some form of political stability in the region...
