now the vic govnuts are to replace the fire levy with another new property tax....
oh well they keep taking from the property owners....then hand out some to get new ones into the scheme...
vic govt earn a third of its revenue from property taxes...

    about 5.6 billion
will they contribute to the drop in house prices...to pacify about 10% of the population...
70% owners (10% of which are fhb's), 20% investors, 10 non commitals or permanenet renters
no way...they need prices to keep going skywards, to sustain their income from the taxes...
thats why they stall the new land releases, well the labor govnuts did whilst they were in power....
    they stall other developments,
labor wanted to put highrise all along the busy transport routes, for cheap housing for the nurses and cops etc...
but most of those people want the 1/4 acre block for the kids...
there are land releases going on,...but the kids dont want to live out in the burbs,
so something will have to give....
I know, the new trend to go out...past 10 years over 600,000 of them moved out, 60,000 per annum...to find affordable housing...
    and they are very happy....
they are not happy with the constant energy costs, nor are they happy with the disabled govnut we have federally...

while some look forward to buying at half the price or less, in the next decade, the rest are out there getting on with a life
assoc bought about 4-5 years ago, the price has doubled since then...do you think they are concerned about the future....or the price of their home...roof over their heads...

such a small community on hc, some with the same predictions for the past 10 years, and the price is still going higher...
its all good, because investors need renters....
it makes the world go around...
to each their own...just enjoy whatever you do....at least we have choices...some do not
