CONCLUSION OF FRANCHISE AGREEMENTS - KINGSGATE HOTEL WHANGAREI & KINGSGATE
HOTEL HAMILTON
Millennium & Copthorne Hotels New Zealand Limited (NZX: MCK) advises the
franchise and management arrangements for the Kingsgate Hotel Hamilton and
Kingsgate Hotel Whangarei will end in the coming weeks. Both of these have
been owned by the Butcher family whom have been MCK's franchise partners for
over 18 years. The family made the decision that the time was now right for
them to sell the hotels and agreement has been reached with a new owner.
Therefore, MCK will no longer represent these hotels at the conclusion of the
respective franchise agreements on the 25th January 2016 for Kingsgate Hotel
Whangarei and 11th February 2016 for Kingsgate Hotel Hamilton. MCK would
like to thank Tom Butcher and his family for their loyal support. Both
destinations have significantly benefited from the global distribution
through the Millennium & Copthorne Hotels international network in creating
new tourist markets for these hotels.
All current reservations held and rate arrangements will be honoured up until
the termination of these agreements, thereafter reservation enquiries should
be directed to the hotels on:
