That isn't necessarily a negative.
If a professional investor got stock at A$3.85, they can short the stock above that price, and then repay the borrow with the stock received through the rights. Doesn't mean the 'short seller' is convinced the stock is going down. It is a risk free arbitrage trade only and heaps of prop trading desks will be all over that.
