    several years ago there was a video link on HC BBX forum of an American guy doing exactly that after hydrometallurgy first removed a concentrate .
    The firing liquified the concentrate and the gold and other PMs were skimmed off like slag , I had thought they would have fallen to the bottom of the melt but apparently not .
    There was a third electrolysis step as well .
