It certainly seems a strange announcement - would have thought you would keep it under your hat. Maybe it is a Malaysian legal requirement to broadcast this. Could be a good rule in Aus as well, as often retail shareholders are not informed, while the institutions/stockbrokers know all about it, and trade on it.
