Can someone explain to me in layman's terms how a 2.70 pound sterling per share bid for Kalahari would translate into a downstream bid over over 9 Aussie dollars per share for Extract?
I realise I may be showing my ignorance here, but I don't mind that.
Its just that at the current rate of exchange, 1 pound sterling = 1.5 Aussie dollars. By my arithmetic that makes an equivalent downstream offer by CGNPC for the 57% of Extract it would not acquire by taking over Kalahari equal to only 4 Aussie dollars.
I realise I must be missing something here.
