Basically High Freq Trading, very quick small trades often between two related parties to re-inforce a price, i.e. current price .34, if just one person sells at 33.5 no big deal next person may sell same or higher. But a bot attacks the trend and and moves the market and then make money as the human market moves, i.e. Current ;price .34, suddenly 10 trades in quick succession of .33 then after 5 minutes another 10 of .32, then same again etc etc, now the market is moving down and the bots know this and make money on it as it moves.
Thats my take on it, happy to be proven 100% wrong. But not sure who trades 16 shares when they are worth 5.20 during a eriod of lots of other small trades.
