I'm thinking that Pallister is going to take his $2mill back. He showed his support for QTK by taking up the rights issue and thereby was able to get the right underwritten. Now QTK has the funds it wouldn't surprise me if he takes the money he loaned back off QTK now.
Stiff bickies for Bell Potter I reckon.
As for boom announcements after placements I've participated in quite a few placements and rarely have I made money on them with these smaller stocks. Look at QTK, LUM, BRT, IMI, PXS, QHL, VCR, AAQ, ZYL - they are all significantly lower than what their most recent placements were at. Only one I know which is much higher at the moment is AGO.
