Wow...is it just me or did lending rates sneak up very quickly (from CBA below).

4.5% for 5 year fixed or variable? Rising yields are taking their toll quicker than expected!

Thats $45,000 a year in useless interest on your standard $1m aussie home loan, not including repayments...ontop of raging inflation and rising build costs/supply chain issues/wars/lockdowns.

Lets see if the aussie consumer can stomach this...i hope you've all paid off your mortgages!
