Older and wiser is about all I can say brother. I have made seriously bad decisions in the past, been guilty of poor money management, not researched well, trusted ASIC would keep watch and so have had my share of agony on the back of the 08 boom. I now have a better process. Now I do what should be done. I look at the balance sheet (debt), share issue, charts, sector, management, market cap vs peers, sovereign risk, confirmed resource and now make safer bets. The biggest lesson I have learned particularly with the penny part of town is to research management. The ASX is the biggest casino in town and we need to be careful with the hard earned. Good luck.
