It's the type of graphite that's the kicker.. amorphous grade graphite is a dime a dozen and plentiful..
Large 'flake' graphite, which is what SYR have found is much rarer and is the only type of graphite that can be used in Lithium Ion batteries which is where the future demand growth is expected to come from. Large flake currently sells for $2500-$3000 a tonne.
