Aus Gov Metrology weather simulator ACCESS - Weather radars only show current weather at a given time range of 100- 250 NM - Simulators 10-14 days.
Every hour the simulator increase amount of data for a more accurate model, now the predicted cyclone is expected to land further north near Townsville.
When two or more different computer models align with the same forecast a far more accurate prediction (track/strength) can be made, currently ECMWF show a different path with the system positioning further west for an extra day or two before landfall at Bundaberg.
Saturday - Monday the system will be named. I hope the ACCESS model is wrong because at this stage it's predicting an absolute monster Cat 4 - Cat 5
