I imagine it would take sometime to work out the specifics of what any insurance settlement is going to cover and finalise an amount. (Not as though it is a car claim or something ...) A decent payout could have a very positive effect on the SP while obviously a negative one will send us lower.
Agree it is very material and that the radio silence is not good for the nerves or my alcohol intake but we can't expect a blow by blow narrative either.


"The General Insurance Code of Practice says insurers should:

Make a decision on your claim within 10 business days of completing their investigations (clause 76).

Decide the claim within 4 months (clause 77). They can extend that to 12 months if your claim is fraudulent (or they reasonably suspect fraud) or if you do not respond to their reasonable enquiries or if you are difficult to contact (clause 78)."

If this holds then we should expect something before the end of Sept give or take a couple of weeks.
