Exactly. If the share price is lower than $1.30 during that week then people will buy on market and not take up their entitlement. Bell Potter, as the underwriters, have to take up the shortfall. They will no doubt have instos lined up to take stock as they will not want $20mn of PAR stock sitting on their balance sheet.
Previously the shorts could push our price around at will, as we (the retailers), couldn't take on that demand. It's something I've talked about for a long time and Coppo alluded to it. What's potentially changed now is that we have long only coming on to the register, who can take on that demand.
Like you I will just wait until that week to see where we are trading and either buy on market or take up my entitlement. Good luck!
