Alan Jones used his most precious timeslot (7:15am) to again champion the NuCoal case. Like him or loathe him gee he can articulate a pretty black and white picture of how badly NCR shareholders were treated !!
He interviewed Joel Fitzgibbon who confirmed he is exerting pressure on the NSW government to fix this before it spirals out of control. Fitzgibbon also confirmed that he has spoken with the Trade Minister who is well up to date with this.
Don't know if anything is imminent - but I think the board could one day have a conundrum if they were to receive an offer of "compensation".
Surely now, given how much publicity this is generating there would be litigation funders begging to take on this case and really go for the jugular. Not only is it a lay down in court and hence a huge payday for any funder - but a high profile , cross boarder case, that is being discussed in the United Nations, would be exactly what any litigation firm would be after.
