Nah, it's too banal. Aside from the former AFL bit, GSW's directors just aren't that interesting. Bane is a stock-standard growth hacker dweeb. GSW was a twisted mirror image of standard start-up practice - it's not the outlandish "nothing there at all" type scam of the Fyre Festival but just a exaggeration of the "fake it 'til you make it" ethos of the agile start-up.

What frustrates me is that GSW had the opportunity - with that huge raise - to pump all the capital raised into making the bullshit a reality. For whatever reason, they weren't interested in doing the hard work and just did an inept acquisition spree. But laziness and a bunch of bad purchases doesn't make a good Netflix Scam Drama.
