the alternative to a 'deal' as you put it rupe would be even worse for range imo. ever try to get a contract/deal done when you have a litigation hanging over your head? (if it does happen of course). good luck and range must also know that - regardless of the reason for it and how successful or not they may be with it.
this is not a matter of risk v reward but a matter of transperancy and honesty so that ALL holders of equity (both current and optional) can make a sound decision based on all the facts .. something lacking with this co. Course of sales would not be kind the insiders and I think they know that.
