Yes, I too grew up in a household which had to be careful with each dollar spent. By no means poor, but always had an appreciation of value and worth. My investments are extremely modest to probably a lot on here, but substantial for me. After all, everything is relative to the individual. I have had the privilege to travel to a lot of places in the world and see both obscene wealth and indigent poverty. Like any person who has seen the depths of poverty not seen in this country - I am always mindful how lucky we are.
When it comes to excess, greed and insane speculation - the rise of cryptocurrencies seem to encapsulate all of these. When I hear the insane amounts being traded for an NFT for a picture of an ape - when we face so many issues in this world - I can't help but feel completely lost.
It's shy impossible to understand the discount/premium sagas of LICs. Especially as you said when LICs like LSF are at a discount.
