lockdowns are less necessary if the spread is slower, then tracing and quarantine are much more capable of getting things under control.
Vaccination of a significant percentage of the population decreases the viral load and does slow things down.
The vaccination rate is nowhere near enough to effect decisions on lockdowns as yet.
On North vs South of the river , just too hard to police.
On the 20%, they will eventually have restrictions placed on them , that's life . Personal choice .
If I want to drink alcohol , I don't get to drive.
It won't be the government pushing it, the private sector will eventually lead the way.
On the state of WA Health , unforgivable , a lot left over from the past liberal administration , but that excuse not valid if they haven't fixed things by the end of this term.
Staffing a major problem , and our reliance for 20 years plus on uk and Irish nurses biting us on the arse.
I am afraid the common cold argument is a spurious one.
Morbidity and mortality is totally different.
A bit like complaining about interventions to stop a cholera epidemic because gastro isn't that bad.
Do we really need to go thru the UK experience?
