Rimtalay, your logic is just what Gilbo want. But is not fair to whoever have sold it to him at below true value and market value.
In reality, you and me will complete against Gilbo for $3.3 shares if you and me think it will worth a lot more than $3.3.
Plus MK still has his say about it. Of course, we have final say.
For the best interest is Gilbo will come up with an offer that very few would refuse. You have to ask yourself, what kind of price you would like to sell your CSM shares in next three months, realistically?
It is $3.3, or $4, or $5?
Another question is what kind of price Gilbo is willing to offer, and still have plenty of upside for CSM?
It is $5, or $4, or $3.3?
One thing is for sure, we cannot get the full potential of CSM. But we need Gilbo can offer higher enough price, so some people are willing to sell.
Remember Lion-Ore bidding war?
Start at $18.5 by Xstrata,
Countered at $21.5 by Norilsk
Countered at $25 by Xstrata
ended at $27.5 by Norilsk
The final offer is almost 50% higher the initial offer. Assume $2.8 is the start point, I reckon it will ended at around $4.2.
Either Gilbo offer $3.8+ or MK offer $3+1.5TTY will do.
Next move, MK offer $2.5+1.5TTY, to match Gilbo's, or make the blow out offer at $3+1.5TTY
