The options gap is mostly due to not being able to exercise them until the 25th of November. Any other factors would be reflective on the price of the head stock.
The large volume dumping is more than likely a large investor taking out significant portions of their holdings before the election, and making sure there's enough buyers in place to get the most out of their sell off. Also triggered falling sells.
