As for population growth and cost of living, try to consume less. For a salary of 70k and two kids you should be able to buy a house. Here are some tips:
- no foxtel
- No packaged foods which you can make yourself
- pack your lunch to work
- Buy fresh from the market instead of from the supermarket
- Buy no branded goods
- Take a holiday every 2 years costing less than 2k.
- Buy a small house to live for 5 years before upgrading.
