I agree and disagree with your sentiments. Firstly, Canada is run by some very extremely liberal leaders who worship the planet ahead of commercial activities. Secondly, Papua New Guinea is a complex place to get anything done so any restrictions on keeping an expatriate workforce keeping the wheels turning are a concern. I actually personally believe that WA is probably the safest mining jurisdiction in the world.

I have now read several Covid 19 company announcements and they tend to be very skewed in terms of emphasising employee health concerns. I am all for the health and welfare of a company’s employees. However, nobody seems to be concerned about the company’s shareholders? If commerce and operations, including mines, are closed for lengthy periods, it is not rocket science as what will happen to share prices. When the Dow Jones hits 10,000 points I can guarantee that suicides will outpace Coronavirus deaths 20:1 as a minimum.
