alzheimers is an expensive disease for governments
carers,hostels, nursing doctors etc
it is a very demanding disease with able bodied people that need constant supervision
the current drugs to treat it are already $50-100pm
and provide symptomatic relief only
if a new drug comes along that not only rlieves symptoms
but modifies the future course of the disease
its value will not only be to those it treats but to the governments that foot the bill for current management
the families of sufferers would consider it priceless
