Why do we need to know everything about the boats anyway? Let the govt do its job I say. We don't need needless press conferences on the matter.
Turning back the boats is part of a broader strategy. What makes you think it won't work as part of a strategy. It was working to some degree, until another issue has turned this into a political hot potatoe again. The govt said it will stop them and I think they are far more capable of doing this of course. It's already had a major positive effect on the numbers. It's going to take more time to fix such a massive problem left to these guys and I dont envy them. Most people knew this and voted to fix this and the other disasters. Making problems requires limited intelligence and no time at all, fixing problems requires a lot o smarts and time. Let Abbotts lot do their job. The only people rubbing their hands with glee are those who want failure so they can feel better about their own failings IMO. They are labor voters and its obvious.
