I think the topaz came from Rubicon's other job in Thailand which is now up and running. I see that according to the offshore press the CSO Venturer is hired by GPC. Wether that is true or just an assumption (as news often turns out to be) I don't know but I was lead to believe that the Proteus was chartered from Acergy by GPC.
Anyway the main thing is that in the short term they are doing the right thing and first oil should not be long away. Once the Proteus was on site it completed the work scope in very short order, four days. I expect the same of the Venturer.
