I disagree. Spinning off AMP Capital would suit the likes of Blackrock (are you one of them? but not AMP share holders, at least not in the long term. Capital is a quiet monster and it is roaring to life at ~$202b AUM and growing strongly. Funds under management growth appears to be accelerating and the company has flagged an increase in expected fees as a result (in the near future). Selling now would be disingenuous.

There were a number of subtle positive signs coming from the wealth arm which i believe confirm even it has turned the corner. Bank has been investing in scaling technology and with more money (Life sale) i expect it to grow strongly as well.

Combine the three and i expect each to be firing on all cylinders full steam ahead in the coming 6 months. And in 18 months time i expect AMP to be talked about again in a very different and positive manner.

One doesn't sell their profitable stocks and buy their losing stocks. Just as one doesn't do that with strong/weak business arms either.
