just trying to make sense of this

    profit from operations down 40%

the sale of tsi and usm and the purchase of easternwell seems to stack up albeit a loss of 23%
it must be the drop in operating profit.
the company maintains that the the purchase of easternwell will fix things.
anybody who studies funny mentals have some views on what has happened. thanx

here are my calculations re the sale of tsi and usm for easternwell

    Easternwell cost $598m
    eg
    tsi
    $93m + 36.5 = 129.5
    36.5/129.5 = -28%

    USM
    $255m + 19.3m + 50.3m = $324.6
    69.6/324.6= -21%

total of tsi and usm = $454.10
loss on the deal is about $106.10
    loss of 23%
