Well the 3 mill was a dumb order, although it was placed in the adjust period. You have to ask why they wanted to show they had 3 mill to sell. Who knows - no obvious reason. They sold about 1/2 mill. Just scares the buyers. Why show your hand?
The fact that it was part filled doesn't affect things. They will probably pull the balance out before Monday's start. They are not compelled to leave it.
A big downgrade in Challenger today. Saying the business is just about belly up. Or at least it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Maybe bad news in the wings or a broker downgrade. Most brokers would have a "don't touch" on it anyway. Can't just be reaction to the US market bec. other similar stox (like CIY) did not move. In fact CIY went up today. (And workers at CIY say they haven't been paid for 4 months.) Business as usual as far as I know at Challenger Funds. Might be they are about to run out of cash! Maybe they will very soon lock out withdrawals.
