14D says it can build energy storage for $70 grand per Megawatt of storage capacity.
By Comparison the Snowy 2 will cost about $1 Million per MW of storage capacity.
The South Australia tesla battery is 100 megawatts of storage and cost $85 Million, so that cost about $850k per megawatt.
The storage set up cost and the generator is separate, But for 14D to build the same amount of Snowy 2 sized energy storage , youd be talking over 4,000 MW of storage, and just for the storage capacity it would cost 14D , 4000 x $70 = $280 Million to build the storage. Thats the cost to 14D. But thats just an estimate guess.
So you can see this entire Company market Cap is only $42 Million. If it got Projects ordered to do 100MW or 500MW storage systems, the Going rate is around the $1 Million per MW of storage set up. and it only would cost 14D $70k to build that storage. The turbine generator is separate to that cost.
But as far as where there is smoke there is fire, look at the $$$$$$ being spent on energy storage and 14D is setting up to try and become the Lowest cost energy storage option. So from that, the Potential profit margin on these types of Projects could make 14D an absolute Cash Cow in future. All purely IMHO.
