The Closing Single Price Auction is conducted for 10 minutes and the price is set by an algorithm determined by the number of orders and shares matched against their prices. Unfulfilled orders which are still open are closed off at the CSPA. Anybody sitting it out to try to game the system and thinking they were holding the price down would be playing Russian Roulette, particularly as they have no control over the price they pay
