    Trump's tariffs are self inflicted damage on the USA, the biggest economy in the world that relies upon consumer spending for 70% of its GDP. These things can take a while to play out and can go too far, then take years to undo. The money is going to Europe and Asia, even Australian markets are bulking up with excess capital that is no longer entrusted to the US.
