    The current bout of inflation was not caused by QE. It was supply side disruption in a post Covid world where QE contributed to the problem but did not cause the inflation. The supply side disruption caused the primary inflationary impacts. The secondary inflation came after and that was ultimately controlled by raising interest rates thereby controlling money supply. If you don't believe me then explain why there was no inflation recorded after QE1 but the were asset price rises that lasted for the length of the QE cycles?
