I don't quite agree with the "just another credit card now" sentiment.

An example I like to point out is the inconvenience of having a credit card and it being used for fraudulent use and having to cancel it, be without a card for a week until they send you a replacement and then go and change all your recurring payments with the new card details.

No matter your level of hygiene, credit card holders are exposed to this problem by a number of vectors - the most common one is if an online store has less than best security practices employed and your details are stolen - through no fault of your own, but by the merchant's poor security or the payment processor - and then that card is used fraudulently.

ZIP completely avoids this by providing you with a one-time use credit card to use on web stores which don't accept ZIP, but do accept credit cards. The card details simply cannot be used if stolen. So, if you're making a purchase on a web store, don't use your credit card, use the ZIP virtual card and no worries about the risk of stolen card details and no inconvenience of cancelling a card and all that does with that.

Why aren't the banks offering this? Until they do, ZIP is a safer bet online for card purchases.

I would go on, but I don't want to sound like an advertisement for ZIP. I just wanted to point out there is more depth to the services offered than being "just another credit card", and this was just one example.
